1.) Hello Leilani! We are so thrilled to have this chance to talk to you! Why don’t we start by getting to know more about you? Tell us a bit about your background and ethnicity.
I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I left at 18 to join the military and travel the world. I got to Hawaii as my first duty station, met my husband, got married and had my first child. Then I traveled the country and got to live in another country. I eventually settled in Florida. I was in the mortgage industry when the collapse happened in 2008. In 2010 I started on my 4th and final career .. the adult industry. I wanted to be in charge of my life more and needed to create retirement income. My ethnicity is German, English, Irish, Hungarian and Slavik.
2.) What are some fun or interesting facts about you?
I used to be painfully shy until about 30. I love to read, used to for entertainment but these days it is to learn. I learned a lot about our food, which led me to eat better. I am currently learning how our government really works versus how it should. I make quilts, who knew I would actually use geometry! I started about 30 years ago but took about 15 years off. I have recently gotten back into quilting. I love music and it is often playing in the background while I work or do whatever. I don’t watch much TV, maybe an hour or two a day. These days my priorities are getting sunshine, eating well, learning, working out and creating videos for my fans.
3.) How and when did you get started in the adult entertainment business?
I started in the adult industry in October 2010 as a cam model. About a year later I was contacted by a scout asking if I would like to work for Score. My first shoot was with Score in December 2011. My second shoot was for See Mom Suck, Over40Handjobs and CumBlastCity. The next person to contact me, explained about content collabs, how to film for myself, helped me start on my own site. I was off and running!
4.) How did you choose your performer name? Does it hold any sort of significance or special meaning to you?
When it came time to choose my performer name, I thought for a long time. I eventually decided to somehow honor my time in Hawaii. It was a special place to me and one of my favorite places to live. I wanted to incorporate the word Lei due to its double meaning, so to speak. I couldn’t think of a way to elongate the word into a name so I googled Lei and found Leilani. I was going to go with just that single name of Leilani but when I got the offer to shoot for Score, they wanted a last name. I could not think of one in the short time I had so offered up Lei as my last name. Of course I never once thought about the difficulty of spelling and saying my chosen name. lol
5.) Have your friends and family been supportive of your career choice?
Some have been supportive, but some have not. Some our embarrassed and ashamed as if they were the ones in the industry. It has been a mixed reaction and definitely interesting.
6.) As a mature performer, how do you maintain such a high sex drive, especially while working with younger male models in GILF themed scenes ?
I went through menopause at 40. For me it was liberating and I felt like a teenager again. That feeling has not left me. I love having sex and younger men have such nice hard dicks. Yummy!
